PROSPERITY IS THE RESULT OF CHRIST CENTERED MIND

Many Christians struggle to manifest prosperity according to the world’s standards. Unfortunately, society’s definition of prosperity is limited to finances and human ability. However, when we renew our minds concerning prosperity, we will discover that prosperity according to God’s Word extends beyond anything we can ever find in the world. When we prosper in God, we are made whole in every area of life. It is prosperity that goes beyond a dollar amount. True prosperity is Christ-centered, and it comes from a complete dependence upon Jesus Christ.

Christ-centered prosperity begins within the soul (3 John 1:2). The soul consists of the mind, will, and the emotions. In other words, it governs how we think, choose, and feel. A person cannot truly prosper within a certain area of life if the soul isn’t prosperous in that area. And Christ-centered prosperity begins with our thinking. Our thinking is transformed when we study and meditate on the Word concerning any need in our lives. However, we must be persistent in the study of the written Word in order to receive a Word from God that is spoken directly to our spirits. Romans 12:2 says, “And be not conformed to this world: but be ye transformed by the renewing of your mind, that ye may prove what is that good, and acceptable, and perfect will of God.”
If we fail to renew (or transform) our minds with the Word concerning Christ-centered prosperity, we won’t receive this type of prosperity. We have to expose ourselves to the Word in order to partake of what has already been made available to us through the finished works of Jesus Christ. We must take possession of the promises of God by faith.
Matthew 11:5 in the Amplified Bible says, “The blind receive their sight, and the lame walk, lepers are cleansed (by healing), and the deaf hear, and the dead are raised up, and the poor have good news (the Gospel) preached to them.”  Notice, the Gospel was preached to the poor. When we spend time in the Word, we will receive specific instructions from the Holy Spirit. This is why it is vital to have an understanding of God’s Word.
Paul said, “But by the grace of God I am what I am and his grace which was bestowed upon me was not in vain; but I labored more abundantly than they all: yet not I, but the grace of God which was with me” (1 Corinthians 15:10). Many times we may hear a Word from the Lord, and do what He tells us to do. It may seem, from a natural standpoint, that we did it all ourselves. However, when we are victorious in life, we must understand that it is only by the grace of God that we are able to accomplish anything! We should continually give God the credit because every good and perfect gift comes from Him (James 1:17).

True prosperity is not about having an abundance of money, although it does include money. True prosperity is prosperity with Christ at the center of it. If you want to experience Christ-centered prosperity, I encourage you to renew your mind concerning prosperity. Mind renewal is a process. Therefore, be diligent and patient as you make the transformation.
